i.                    German Historical Relics
Home of German Governor:- On a quiet and peaceful hill at Kpando in the Volta Region of Ghana, You can find the abandoned stone-built home of the former colonial governor situated at the apex of the hill and overlooking wide area of the Kpando township and beyond. On the other side of the hill is the Volta Lake; a vast expanse of a water-body classified as the largest man-made lake in the world. Prior to the Second World War, and before Ghana’s independence, most parts of the Volta Region and some parts of today’s Togoland fell under the German administration but which was later ceded to the British and French respectively after the war.   
Fort: In close proximity to the residence of the German Colonia Governor is a fort which served as a trading post and now used as a prisons yard and around the vicinity can be found bungalows of old German architectural designs that housed German expatriates that worked in the colony.
Bridges:- Less than 5 kilometres away from the Kpando township you meet fully metallic bridge constructed by the Germans and another about 10 kilometers way located directly at the border linking Ghana to Togo in a village called Kametonu, Leklebi. The environment at the bridge is so serene as the area is a forest vegetation where the river flows within beautiful rocks making sounds that produce musical crescendo.

ii.                  Volta Lake:- Volta Lake is the largest man-made lake in the world as recognized by World Tourism Organization and bordered in the east by Volta Region with a bustling market harbor at Kpando Torkor and a dam at Akosombo which is harnessed to generate the bulk of the nation’s electricity power. The market gets busy on two days within the week, first day being the arrival of boats from the surrounding communities and the next day being the actual market business day.
Lake Transport: The major form of transport on the lake is the use of wooden canoes and boats however metallic made ferries are also available for long distances.
iii.                Tafi-Atome Monkey Sanctuary: This monkey sanctuary about 10km from Kpando is a haven for all lovers of nature. Here you find monkeys of kinds living in the wild come out naturally and freely to the village, live among the human inhabitants and return at will to the bush. Customary beliefs and taboo forbids the killing of these monkeys so as if they knew about it none of them gets scared of anyone and no one harms them.
iv.                Wli Waterfall- This Waterfall is the highest in all West Africa and close to the highest mountain also in West Africa. Around the waterfall are prominently visible rainbow and several bats hanging around in the chilling weather. The waterfall is about 20 minutes drive from Hohoe Municipality, 20km from Kpando. 

v.                  Forts & Castles: For those of you who want an insight into the infamous Slave Trade, Ghana is the best place to find relics as records show that out of about 60 slave forts in the whole of Africa, 43 can be found in Ghana which was then called the Gold Coast. It is believed that the presence of Gold and the strategic location may have accounted for this development.
